The staff was polite, the accommodation was wonderful small and overall clean. The location was good for exploring this great area, very close to northern beaches and beautiful Exmoor, the establishment, and an authentic local pub.

    Very good
    7.0

The Beautiful King Room offered a decent amount of space, good natural light, and a well-placed electric heater to keep warm . The scenic views from the windows added a nice touch.

Finding the hotel proved to be a bit of a challenge, as TomTom led us astray, so make sure to scout your route in advance. The parking situation is limited to just four spots across a narrow lane. In the Beautiful Family Suite, the standard of the room was lacking-radiators flaking, cracks on the window ledge, and one of the windows jammed. The dinner menu was more upscale than expected, with fewer choices than one might prefer, leading to a less satisfying meal experience. There was loud music and late-night revelry due to the staff celebrating, which detracted from the evening's relaxation.

    delicious dinner
    substantial breakfast
    friendly staff
    secluded location
    messy admin

The dinner menu was a proper treat, chock full of tasty delights that had me drooling! The brekkie was no less, hearty and packed to set you off for a day on the Devon trails. The staff were always friendly.

Finding the place was a bit of a faff, and the parking situation had me sweating a bit. It'd be nice if they sorted out the admin mess near the bar during busy mornings.

    spacious family suite
    comfortable beds
    lengthy check-in

    great stay but minor hiccup

The layout of the family suite offered excellent space for our children. The beds were very comfortable , made for a good night's sleep.

The check-in process took longer than expected, which caused some frustration.

would like to go back there again

The beautiful family suite was nice, with a big private bathroom and comfy beds. Amenities included a tv, tea/coffee maker, and good heating. The location was remote, great for a quiet night. Breakfast was hearty with fresh options. Friendly staff helped. The bar area was cozy and relaxing after a day out.

It was just a perfect match for a relaxing holiday in Oakford with excellent value for money. The heavy glass shower door in the Beautiful King Room had a little issue but the staff promptly addressed it. Make sure to check all amenities upon arrival.
